Leonardo Da Vinci

This post may contain affiliate links.

Through our Charlotte Mason picture studies, as well as a recent Kiwi Crate, we have come to enjoy studying the great Leonardo da Vinci!

A word on Picture Study Portfolios
Simply Charlotte Mason have created a beautiful, simple, and gentle way of introducing famous artists and 8 of their famous works of art.

The creators explain it best:
“Our Picture Study Portfolios make the method simple: Display a picture and have the children look at it until they can see it clearly in their minds’ eye. Turn the picture over and ask them to describe it. When their narration is finished, display the picture again and discuss as desired. Display the picture in a prominent place for the rest of the week.”

I have been amazed at how quickly and eagerly my kids memorize and recognize the works of art just from them hanging in our school room. I highly recommend it!

How cute is this? The Leonardo da Vinci Kiwi Crate came with materials to make a pizzeria that spins its own pizza!
