God so intentionally hand-picked each member of our families for one another. He knew exactly who and what we needed to grow into the best versions of ourselves. Do you ever wonder if we were actually meant to be spending a majority of our lives going our separate ways each day?
I can’t help but watch how each little person in my home is so well-equipped to perfectly push the buttons of the other little members of my family. When our kids hang out with friends and peers it goes swimmingly well, but when they are tested and tried by those within the walls of their own home, THAT is when they are challenged to become self-aware of their weaknesses, to change and grow in virtue, and to learn healthy ways of communicating through conflict resolution time and time again. THAT is when they learn that unconditional love and respect run deeper than letting disagreements and differences stand in the way of sibling bonds. Dare I call it socialization? 😉 It is in these consistent and difficult moments that I can so clearly see and understand why God picked each person for one another in our family. His creativity is SO good and never fails. I hope and pray these little life lessons we are encountering with each other every day help allow for unconditional sibling love into adulthood, no matter the little differences and mindsets they will have.
The average American family spends 36 minutes together each day. If you could change one thing about the school system or working world, what would you change to allow your family to grow to know each other on deeper levels than ever before and see the sweet fruits that come of it?
