A gorgeous mountain getaway surrounded by fun for all ages!
Where To Stay
The Birdhouse has a stunning view of Pikes Peak right out the living room windows. As if the living room view wasn’t picturesque enough, the hot tub views were even better. The kids were thrilled about the mountainous, rustic kids room while Dex and I enjoyed the spacious master. Boasting 7 beds between the 5 bedrooms, this home fit our family comfortably…with room to spare!
Perhaps the greatest highlight is its location. The Birdhouse is a quick 10 minute drive to the famous North Pole, the historical Manitou Cliff Dwellings, and the Adventurous Cave of the Winds. Within a 30 minute drive towards Colorado Springs, you can experience countless hiking trails, The Manitou Incline, Garden of the Gods, The Broadmoor Hotel, Air Force Academy, and the Olympic Training Center. Adventure truly awaits…then again who needs to leave home with views like this!? Oh, and Walmart groceries being delivered straight to our door just added to all of the wonderful conveniences!

The North Pole
This Christmas-themed adventure park is perfect for ages 3-8 and we highly recommend going on a non-peak day of the week if possible. Although lines can be up to 1 hour long on peak days, hardly anyone was there on a non-peak day. My kids stayed on any rides they wanted since no one else was waiting in line! Fun fact: The North Pole houses the highest elevation ferris wheel in the world!
